My sweet, precious, amazing two year old, Carden, is having some trouble with lying. And it is generally just when it's time for bed. It usually consist of her saying she needs to "go potty". She is warned that if she is lying she will get popped and have to sit in time out for two minutes. Well tonight, she lied about having to potty. When I reassured her of her consequences, she asked me to put her in time out. She actually enjoys time out. It used to make her scream and stomp her feet and cry. But now she enjoys it. So, I finally figured out that time out at night means staying up and seeing what mommy and daddy are doing. Tonight, I moved her time out chair and didn't pay her any attention. She did cry when she got up and ran into her bedroom. She is such a mess but I wouldn't want it any other way. I am not sure if her behavior at times is payback for mine or her daddy's behavior as a child!

love the weekend
Over the weekend, we celebrated my little brother, Blake's birthday. I can't believe he is 26! It was so nice to get together with my family and enjoy some yummy food. My mom cooked an incredible dinner complete with the most amazing strawberry cobbler. Now that Blake and I don't live at home, we cherish every minute we get to spend with our family. He loves Carden so much and I love to see they joy in their eyes when they see each other. Blake was lucky enough for Carden to sing him Happy Birthday over the phone on Saturday. I know that made his day.
My mom kept Carden for the weekend, so it was just me and the hubby! Although we missed her dearly, it was really nice to have some alone time. I spent all day Saturday being lazy while he helped do some yard work for some of the men in our church. He has such a servants heart and I am truly blessed to be married to him. We meet my mom Sunday after church to get Carden back. I was so excited to see her! I never knew I could love anyone as much as I love her. She will probably never know how much I truly love her.

Carden's 1st Christmas
Our house closely resembles a babies clothing and toy store- thanks to our wonderful friends and family! The look on Carden's face when she discovers a new toy is priceless! She loves things that light up and talk to her! We often catch her talking to her toys and waving to them! We are having so much with her, it is hard to believe that next year could bring more fun!

So Blessed!
It's the time of the year, when we look back and reflect all we have and how truly blessed we are. This year, God has blessed us in so many ways! This will be our first year as a family and we will be celebrating in our new house. Over the past few months, we have become a part of a wonderful Bible Fellowship Class at Calvary West and we have made so many wonderful friends. The members of the class have been so welcoming and so kind!! They have truly touched our lives more than they know! I am reminded every day of God's love and grace!

Carden
It is so hard to believe that Carden will be six months old on Saturday. We are truly blessed to have her in our lives. She is such a joy and the "apple of our eyes"! She is now sitting up and will be starting baby food in the next few days. Everyday is something new with her and we are reminded just how prefect she is!
House
After a few months of searching, we finally found a house we both really like. The location is perfect and the neighborhood is adorable. We are so grateful to Riley's parents for letting us live with them while we looked for a house. Finding this house was an answer to prayer and we continue to pray that everything will run smoothly.
